Atomic Access Skis 2012 - The Access design is far from simple! Atomic has incorporated an enormous amount of technology in a package that can handle the entire mountain. Starting with a 100mm waist and an open turn radius, the Access establishes a platform that screams all mountain versatility, but Atomic doesn't stop there. Atomic takes Power Rocker 10 and slaps it on top. A combination of rocker and early rise in the tip and tail, with camber underfoot, gives the Access a short effective edge in longer lengths. Translation, you can ride a wide ski designed for powder a longer length for increased flotation in powder with the bonus of having excellent edge hold on hard pack due to the camber construction of the skis. The use of a Step Down Sidewall L2 leaves the skier with a cap and sidewall hybrid ski. Two layers of vertical sidewall underfoot extend towards the tip and tail but become a more forgiving cap as the ski reaches the ends of it length. So whether you're looking to push the limits on a backcountry kicker or tear up any inbounds and side country terrain, the Access will open doors for it all. .
