With an 82mm waist the Atomic Blackeye TI is built with versatility in mind. The Blackeye Ti will allow you to charge the front side and do some aggressive carving; but the width combined with Adaptive Rocker creates a ski that can play everywhere on the mountain, in all conditions. Adaptive Rocker means that Atomic designed a small amount of rocker into the tip of the ski. The result is a ski tip that will not catch or hang up in crud and soft snow but will engage a turn with power and ease. The Blackeye TI is upgraded Step Down Sidewall Construction as well. The Step Down Sidewall is features Cap Construction in the tip and tail areas protecting the skis from damage and adding a degree of forgiveness. Atomic uses Sidewall Construction under the binding to improve vibration damping, shock absorption, and increase edge hold. The Blackeye TI comes equipped with a full wood core wrapped in titanium. A classic construction, this metal and wood combination provides a tremendous amount of rebound energy while finishing a turn and uncompromising edge hold from start to finish. Additionally, The titanium layer adds an extra amount of vibration dampening to keep the ski on the snow and eliminate chatter even at the highest of speeds. A Protrak Binding Integration System helps to increase torsional stiffness, adding to the overall response of the ski. .
